In his 10 years of professional experience, Chinmay has worked with boutique and large global firms on investment and business advisory, a leading domestic investment bank, and, most recently, a domestic impact-focused buy-side firm.
In his professional journey, his key work and responsibilities have revolved around performing investment evaluation, transaction advisory, deal sourcing, due diligence, financial analysis, monitoring, and managing investments in early/late-stage companies across industrials, financial institutions, the new economy, and impact sectors.
Before joining Circulate Capital, he was associated with Northern Arc Investments, a leading domestic Indian impact investor with focus on new-age, fintech, venture debt and impact investment opportunities. Before joining Northern Arc Investments, Chinmay worked at Edelweiss Investment Banking vertical, advising on equity fund-raise, M&A, and capital market transactions across industrials, logistics, packaging, and other B2B businesses. Chinmay also worked with a boutique advisory & investment firm wherein he advised PE/Hedge funds on building investment thesis, modeling, valuation, and market scoping/mapping while sharing the responsibility for proprietary investments for the firm. In his first job at JP Morgan, he worked on strategy and operations and managed global programs under transformation initiatives.
Chinmay Prakash holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer engineering and an MBA specializing in Finance. Chinmay also holds a Charter for FRM (Financial Risk Manager, GARP) and is awaiting a CFA Charter from the CFA Institute.
