Gabriela is Circulate Capital’s Regional ESG & Impact Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean. She is responsible for implementing Circulate Capital’s Environmental and Social Investment Policy and managing its impact framework. Gabriela focuses on integrating ESG considerations and driving innovative solutions in circular economy investments to combat plastic pollution and climate change.
With over 7 years of experience in ESG and impact investing, Gabriela has a strong background in private equity. Her previous experience was at GEF Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on climate solutions. She served as Head of ESG & Impact for Latin America, leading ESG due diligence and impact measurement across portfolio companies and supporting them in adopting sustainable practices aligned with global standards.
Previously, Gabriela joined Santander through its Trainee Program, in the Wealth Management division. She later worked as an Analyst of Investment Products and ESG in the Private Banking team, where she developed sustainable investment strategies for high-net-worth clients.
Before Santander, Gabriela began her career at SITAWI, now known as Nint (acquired by ERM), she worked on diverse projects with banks, government agencies, companies, and, mostly notably, fund managers, focusing on ESG integration in alternative investments and sustainable finance strategies.
Gabriela holds the Certificate in ESG Investing (CFA ESG) and the Certificate in Climate and Investing (CFA CCI) from the CFA Institute, highlighting her expertise in ESG and climate-related financial strategies.
She has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), specializing in sanitation and the environment. Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, Gabriela is dedicated to advancing sustainability and impact investing across emerging markets.
