Independent Advisor
Jason is an investment management professional with 26 years experience in Asia and Europe leading, investing and capital-raising. He has led business development teams for Allianz Global Investors and J.P. Morgan Asset Management, successfully raising capital for private market, hedge fund and traditional investment strategies from Asian sovereign and institutional allocators, based in Singapore.
Prior to that he set up and led Direct Invest’s Asia private equity investment team, making and managing mid-market private equity investments in China, Southeast Asia and Australia, based in Singapore, and raising capital from financial institutions and family offices.
Jason began his finance career at Lazard, advising on and executing public and private cross-border European mergers & acquisitions deals, based in London. Prior to that he trained as a corporate lawyer at Herbert Smith and qualified into its mergers & acquisitions group, based in London.
In his personal capacity, Jason makes and manages direct investments into US high-growth technology companies at Series A, B and C stages, adding value where appropriate as a board director/observer, and as a coach/mentor to the founder-CEO.
Jason earned a B.A. in Law from the University of Cambridge, a Postgraduate Certificate in Economics from the University of London, Birkbeck, and an M.B.A. from INSEAD.
