Lakhan joins Circulate Capital with more than six years of experience in ESG, Sustainability, and EHS Management.
Prior to joining Circulate Capital, he was working with a Private equity firm to oversee the ESG management for the South Asia region, where he worked closely with all the Portfolio companies across multiple sectors, including Manufacturing, Financial Services, and Retail, to monitor and enhance their ESG performance. In addition, he was responsible for conducting ESG Due Diligence on all the potential investments per global standards, such as International Finance Corporation Performance Standards, Asian Development Bank Safeguards, and country-specific regulatory requirements.
Before this, Lakhan worked with TATA Motors, where he was involved in EHS Management for all the Manufacturing plants. Being part of the Corporate team, his responsibilities included Risk Assessments, Data Management, Analytics, Digitalisation, Communication, Audits, and Due Diligence.
Lakhan holds an MBA from NITIE Mumbai with a specialization in Environment, Sustainability & Safety Management, and studied Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering. Lakhan is a certified lead auditor of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001. Recently he achieved the ‘Sustainability & Climate Risk’ certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
